AEW Dark Elevation is once again upon us! With six matches set, expect an evening filled with great in-ring action. Dark Order is in trios action, hoping to keep their win streak alive against S.A.P.’s Serpentico and The Wingmen’s Ryan Nemeth and “Pretty” Peter Avalon. The Butcher and The Blade look to regain momentum after back-to-back defeats to Top Flight and Blackpool Combat Club; they’ll face off with the debuting David McMallion (also known as Flex McMallion) and Richie Slade. Our focus will be on the returning Brooke Havok as she faces Emi Sakura.

Emi Sakura vs. Brooke Havok

Brooke Havok returns to AEW for the first time in almost two years. However, she’ll face a tough test in the underrated Emi Sakura. Despite rarely appearing on Dynamite, Sakura is one of the biggest threats in the AEW women’s division. In her one-on-one matches in 2022, she only lost to former AEW Women’s Champions Hikaru Shida and Toni Storm, current ROH Women’s Champion Athena, and rising stars Kris Statlander and Abadon.

Havok is definitely the underdog in this match-up, currently standing winless in AEW against former AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker and former top contender Leyla Hirsch. However, given Brooke’s resilience in battling back from her injuries, I could see her having the resolve needed to pick up the upset win.

Even still, it is tough to pick against Emi in almost any match-up. No matter what, both of these women will put on a great match no fan should miss!
