The Fight In “The Forum”

Two of AEW’s biggest stars finally collide this Wednesday, as the returning Hangman Page takes on “The Purveyor of Violence” Jon Moxley. It’s been almost three agonizing months since Adam Page suffered a horrific freak accident at the hands of Moxley. The incident occurred when Jon landed a brutal King Kong Lariat on the former AEW World Champion.

Through this recovery process, AEW’s resident “Cowboy” went through a lot of turmoil, and this Wednesday in California, he’s ready to unleash it all on Mox. Page stated it wasn’t easy and a lot of things crept into his mind. However, through it all, he knew that he wanted nothing more than to exact revenge on the very competitor that almost put him permanently out of commission.

Unbothered, Moxley on last week’s Dynamite seemed like he was ready to go then and there, but stopped himself, wanting Page at full strength in The Forum. These are two of the best the professional wrestling industry has to offer. However, this isn’t about titles or getting a win; this is personal. Who will walk away from this sure-to-be barbaric war? Will Jon Moxley end the match with the same result as last time? Or will Hangman Page get his revenge?

Battle to the Death

It all comes down to this. With both teams tied with three a piece, Death Triangle and The Elite will settle the score and determine who walks away with the AEW World Trios Championship. They battle it out in an “Escalera de la Muerte” match. The past six matches between these two units were nothing short of breathtaking, giving AEW fans collisions that they won’t forget for a long time.

Unfortunately, these matchups weren’t always competed and won under the cleanest of circumstances. Rey FenixPenta El Zero Miedo, and PAC did whatever it took to secure each win. Even going up 3-1 at one point through nefarious means. To the credit of The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega, their “never say die” attitude brought them this far. Just one win away, a single step from securing the titles.

That said, it won’t be easy and it will be dangerous. With the titles dangling at such great heights, after all the wear and tear their bodies went through, it will take a lot out of both teams to walk away with gold around their waists. It’s Death Triangle and the Elite; the final match in the “Best of 7 Series!” Who will be victorious after this grueling gauntlet? Find out this Wednesday night on the “mother ship” TBS!
