AEW World Title Tournament Match, Women’s Tag Team Match Set For September 14 AEW Dynamite

AEW Grand Slam Tournament of Champions

The September 14 episode of AEW Dynamite will feature two world title tournament matches.

On the September 9 episode of AEW Rampage, Sammy Guevara defeated Darby Allin to advance to the next round of the Grand Slam Tournament of Champions. On Wednesday night, he will face Jon Moxley in a semifinal match, and the winner will move on to the finals at Grand Slam. The last time Sammy Guevera met Jon Moxley was on January 16, 2020, episode of AEW Dynamite bash at the beach. Jon Moxley got the victory over Sammy in their last meeting. As previously announced, Bryan Danielson will face Chris Jericho in the other semifinal match.

Plus, as announced on Rampage, AEW Interim Women’s World Champion Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida will face Britt Baker and Serena Deeb in a tag team match. Baker’s alliance with her typical tag partner Jamie Hayter is on the tock following Baker trying to pin Hayter in a four-way to crown the interim Women’s Champion at All Out. In a backstage segment on the September 7 Dynamite, Hayter walked away from Baker as Baker attempted to talk to her.

The updated card for the September 14 episode of AEW Dynamite is below.

  • AEW World Championship Tournament Semi-Final: Bryan Danielson vs. Chris Jericho
