On Thursday, it was announced that the NXT UK brand would be rebranded as NXT Europe in 2023. Following this news, it was reported that several NXT UK stars have been released from WWE. Though a few of these names have appeared on WWE programming in other forms, they have been primarily based in NXT UK, especially following the COVID-19 pandemic that started in early 2020. The following NXT UK wrestlers have been released as of today. Last Word on Pro Wrestling will stay up-to-date on this story as it develops.

What to Know Following the Departure of NXT UK Wrestlers

To say that this news came as a surprise to the wrestling world would be an understatement. Arguably the most surprising names on this list were Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews, given that they were former NXT UK Tag Team Champions, having held the titles for a little over one month. Furthermore, they are two of the longest-standing stars on the brand. This doesn’t even begin to touch on the prominence seen by other names including Dave Mastiff. Whether additional names will be reported or confirmed by WWE remains to be seen, though with the aforementioned announcement of NXT Europe on the horizon, expect to see the European wrestling scene, inside and outside of WWE, evolve.
