Preview: AEW Dynamite (7/6/22) – Moxley vs King, Interim AEW World Title Match

AEW Dynamite Feat Jon Moxley vs Brody King

All Elite Wrestling enters the month of July with another red-hot edition of AEW Dynamite. AEW returns to Rochester, New York, as the promotion’s premier Wednesday night show emanates from the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial. Let us preview the action on AEW Dynamite as two of the company’s most prestigious prizes will be on the line. On this week’s Dynamite, Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley defends against Brody King of House of Black.

Plus, the AEW Women’s World Champion will be in tag team action, as she teams up with her worthy challenger as they go up against “The Native Beast” and “The Problem.” It’s business as usual for AEW, and it will undoubtedly be another night fans will not soon forget. It’s Wednesday night, after all, and you know what that means! Time for some Dynamite! Let’s run it down.

Full AEW Dynamite Match Card:

  • The Butcher & The Blade vs. Swerve in Our Glory
  • Christian Cage & Luchasaurus Appear Live
  • Thunder Rosa & Toni Storm vs. Nyla Rose & Marina Shafir
  • TNT Championship Match – Street Fight: Scorpio Sky (c) vs. Wardlow
  • Interim AEW World Championship Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Brody King

Unleashing the War Dog

After breaking free of his proverbial chains, Wardlow has been a force to be reckoned with. However, American Top Team’s Dan Lambert and the TNT Champion Scorpio Sky did not receive the memo. These two have been poking the bear for almost a month every chance they get. Unfortunately for them, Wardlow does not play around and challenged Sky to a title match this Wednesday night.

To the champion’s credit, he is not backing down one bit. In fact, he even proposed the title match be contested under Street Fight rules. This leads us to this Wednesday night. Wardlow is one stop away from immortality. A lifelong career goal within reach. That being said, you cannot count out Scorpio Sky just yet. He’s proven time and again how he can rise to the occasion when the situation calls for it.

Will Wardlow finally get a taste of AEW gold, or will Scorpio Sky reach for the sky once more and keep his second TNT Title reign going?

It’s Good to Be the King

Brody King absolutely showed out in the Royal Rampage match last week on AEW Rampage. The disciple from the House of Black annihilated every living soul that stood in his way. Once the dust settled, the monster, King, won the battle royal, earning a shot at Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley on Dynamite.

Everyone was a witness to the devastation King could cause, with the sight of a seemingly lifeless Darby Allin dangling by his neck the last image fans saw before Brody came away with the victory.

For the average man, seeing that destruction is a clear indicator to get out of harm’s way. However, Mox is not just any man. He is the “Purveyor of Violence,” the company’s top champion, and there’s no doubt he welcomes all challengers. Who will come away with the gold this Wednesday night? Find out live on TBS!
