Brody King Wins First AEW Royal Rampage Match

Brody King Royal Rampage

This week’s AEW Rampage saw the first-ever Royal Rampage Match take place. Featuring 20 top competitors in All Elite Wrestling, the winner would receive the first shot at the new AEW Interim World Champion, Jon Moxley. From Konosuke Takeshita to Keith Lee to Darby Allin, a litany of competitors fought for the opportunity to challenge Moxley. Ultimately, it was House of Black member Brody King that outlasted 19 other competitors, winning the Royal Rampage. With this victory, King is set to challenge Moxley for the aforementioned title at a later date.

What to Know Following This Week’s AEW Rampage

As mentioned earlier King will now challenge Jon Moxley for the Interim AEW World Championship. They will go head to head this Wednesday night on Dynamite. This marks the first shot at a major singles title in AEW for King. Both King and Moxley have a very physical and hard-hitting style which should give AEW fans a memorable encounter between the two.

The Interim AEW World Championship was created due to an injury to current AEW World Champion CM Punk. Punk is currently out of action due to needing surgery. No timetable for his return has been released but he will take on whoever holds the Interim AEW World Championship to unify the titles when he returns.
