Preview: AEW Dark: Elevation (6/6/22) – Miyu Yamashita Debuts

Miyu Yamashita Makes AEW Dark Elevation Debut

It’s Monday, which means we have a brand new AEW Dark: Elevation! With four matches scheduled for this evening, it should be a great night of action. Frankie Kazarian finds himself coming off back-to-back losses for the first time in two years; he looks to gain some momentum against Serpentico. Death Triangle also needs a boost after falling to the House of Black; they will face off with The Wingmen. Finally, our focus on this week’s AEW Dark: Elevation is on tag-team action as “The Professor” Serena Deeb teams up with “The Native Beast” Nyla Rose as they face Skye Blue and the debuting Miyu Yamashita.

Full AEW Dark Elevation Card (6/6/2022)

  • Dark Order vs. The Factory
  • Frankie Kazarian vs. Serpentico
  • Skye Blue and Miyu Yamashita vs. Serena Deeb and Nyla Rose
  • Death Triangle vs. The Wingemen’s “Pretty” Peter Avalon, Cezar Bononi, and Nick Nemeth

Skye Blue and Miyu Yamashita vs. Serena Deeb and Nyla Rose

Serena Deeb looks to rebound from a failed attempt at capturing the AEW Women’s World Championship against Thunder Rosa. She’ll team up with former champion Nyla Rose as they take on Skye Blue and debuting Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling standout Miyu Yamashita on AEW Dark: Elevation. For those unfamiliar with Yamashita’s work, she focuses on stiff strikes, particularly her devastating kicks.

She’s also quite the accomplished competitor being TJPW’s first Princess of Princess Champion, capturing the belt back in January of 2016 against Shoko Nakajima, holding the belt a title three times so far. In her short run here in the U.S., she’s made quite the impact, gaining momentum with wins over Masha Slamovich and Maki Itoh in Prestige.

All of that being said, Deeb and Rose will walk out the victors in this one. While Deeb is coming off a loss, it’s her first one in almost six months. However, she still has a ton of momentum behind her, and with Rose by her side, there’s little doubt they will walk out with the win in this match-up. It will still be a great contest, along with the rest of the card, so be sure to tune in!
