Joshi Supremacy

Two of AEW’s best collide this Friday night on Rampage. “The Magical Girl” Yuka Sakazaki and the first-ever AEW Women’s World Champion Riho make their triumphant returns, to battle it out for a spot in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament.

The last time we saw Riho compete under the banner of All Elite Wrestling was back at the inaugural Battle of the Belts. Riho came extremely close to dethroning the then AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. While coming up just a bit short of a second run at the title, Riho had a barn-burning match against the good doctor.

As for Yuka, The Magical Girl was on a four-match winning streak, last beating “The Real Mean Girl” Dani Jordyn on the July 28th, 2021 edition of AEW Dark: Elevation. These two fantastic competitors have a tremendous chance to make history, qualify for the inaugural Owen Hart Women’s Tournament, and possibly win the whole thing. Who will come out on top? Find out this Friday night on TNT!

Rolling Out The Red Carpet

The youngest KO-D Openweight Champion and one of DDT Pro-Wrestling’s best Konosuke Takeshita makes his AEW Rampage debut. He takes on a royally ticked-off Jay Lethal. Once dubbed as “The Franchise” of Ring of Honor, Lethal has become extremely obsessed with taking down its champions Jonathan Gresham and “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe.

However, for this week, Jay Lethal turns his attention to Takeshita, as he stated his disdain for others getting the royal treatment that he feels he deserves. That being said, he will have his hands full against Takeshita; fresh off a tremendous win against Rhett Titus in the latest edition of Dark: Elevation. Don’t you dare miss this “must-see” match, as it goes down on another explosive edition of AEW Rampage!
