Tommaso Ciampa Officially Joins Monday Night Raw

Tommaso Ciampa Joins Monday Night Raw

It’s been confirmed that Tommaso Ciampa has joined Monday Night Raw as a full-time member of the red brand’s roster. On this week’s show, he was seen backstage being interviewed before being interrupted by Ezekiel, Elias’s “younger brother,” who made his own appearance on Raw last week. Ezekiel introduced himself to Ciampa before Kevin Owens stormed over, accusing Ezekiel of being Elias. Once Ezekiel made his way off-screen, Ciampa agreed that it was indeed Ezekiel, leaving Owens to wonder if everyone else has gone crazy but him.

What to Know About Red Brand’s Newest Roster Member

Though he’s now a full-time member of the roster, this is far from Tommaso Ciampa’s first appearance on Monday Night Raw. He made recent appearances on the show during this program with Bron Breakker and Dolph Ziggler, the NXT Championship being the focal point of said program. He also appeared on the main roster years earlier as NXT Champion, alongside Johnny Gargano, who was NXT North American Champion at the time.

Tommaso Ciampa is also heavily regarded as one of the most decorated wrestlers that NXT has seen. In addition to being a 2x NXT Champion, he is a former NXT Tag Team Champion alongside Gargano; the two were collectively known as D.I.Y., one of the brand’s most popular tag teams for a time. Ciampa’s tag team matches against The Revival, now known as FTR in All Elite Wrestling, and singles matches with Gargano are among the most highly-regarded bouts the current Raw Superstar has been part of.
