Paul Wight vs. Austin Green

Paul Wight makes his return on AEW Dark: Elevation and in his home state of South Carolina! He faces a tough test in “The Bodyguard” Austin Green. There’s no denying Paul Wight is a massive favorite heading into this match. His accolades speak for themselves, and he is an undeniable legend in this business. To top it off, as I mentioned, he is wrestling in his hometown, and he’s undefeated in his AEW career.

Wight kicked off his AEW run with a dominant performance against QT Marshall and followed it up with two wins in three on one handicap matches, both combined lasting less than ten minutes. Austin Green should not be counted out in this match-up. Yes, Wight has much going in his favor, but he’s been an active competitor for twenty-eight years, and that mileage could play a factor.

Another factor that favors Austin in this match-up is Wight has not competed since October of last year, and ring rust at this level could change everything. Green is also an active MMA competitor, undefeated as a profession at 2-0.

So as you can see, Green should not be overlooked, but make no mistake, Paul Wight will walk out of his homecoming with the victory. No fan will want to miss this battle of big men!
