For the first time in over two years, Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling will be making a return to live events. This news was made official during a live stream with Emi Sakura, the Founder of Gatoh Move. It’s important to note that, earlier this month, Sakura announced her return to Japan, declaring that she would compete on the ChocoPro 2nd-anniversary event to challenge Super Asia Champion Baliyan Akki. In terms of the first Gatoh Move live event in over two years, it will take place on May 4, live from one of the company’s main venues, Itabashi Green Hall.

What to Know About Promotion’s Return to Live Events

Those that have been watching ChocoPro since its inception in early 2020, during the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, may be curious to know what will come of this show. Per the official Gatoh Move Twitter account, the show in question will continue, though the frequency of events remains to be seen. Furthermore, it was asked whether Gatoh Move will be able to live-stream its first event back. The company responded, saying that while they would like to, it may not be possible due to the environment of Itabashi Green Hall.

The return of Gatoh Move live events will mark the promotion’s first show with an audience since March 22, 2020. This event took place in the company’s most iconic venue, Ichigaya Chocolate Square. In the main event, the trio of Mitsuru Konno, Yuna Mizumori, and Rekka picked up a victory over Emi Sakura, current Asia Dream tag team titleholder Masahiro Takanashi, and Rin Rin, the latter of whom GLEAT fans may know better as Yukari Hosokawa.
