Preview: NWA Powerrr (2/8/22) – Team War

NWA Powerrr Team War

This week’s NWA Powerrr is focused on one major prize: money. The National Wrestling Alliance is set to hold 2 Team War matches on NWA Powerrr, collectively featuring 8 teams of 3 wrestlers. This isn’t all that’s on tap for this week’s show, as the NWA World Women’s Championship will be on the line. Fans will also see the return of Pope following his extended absence. For those that would like to learn more about the action to come on FITE, at 6:05 PM EST, take a deeper dive here.

NWA Powerrr (2/8/22) – Full Card

  • The Return of Pope
  • NWA World Women’s Championship: Kamille (c) vs. Kiera Hogan
  • Team War: Idolmania Sports Management (Marshe Rockett, Jordan Clearwater, and Tyrus) vs. Aron Stevens, Kratos, and Judais vs. The End (Odinson and Parrow) and Rodney Mack vs. Ill Begotten (Rush Freeman, Captain Yuma, and Alex Taylor)
  • Team War: Homicide and La Rebelión (Bestia 666 and Mecha Wolf) vs. El Rudo and Strictly Business (Chris Adonis and Thom Latimer) vs. Victor Benjamin and OGK (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) vs. Colby Corino and The Fixers (Jay Bradley and Wrecking Ball Legursky)

Kamille Defends the NWA World Women’s Title

The dominant NWA World Women’s Champion will be in action, as Kamille defends “The Burke” against former IMPACT Wrestling star Kiera Hogan. To say that Kamille has been a dominant champion since first winning the title last year would be an understatement. There have been many opponents that stepped up to the plate, including Melina, Chelsea Green, and “Legit” Leyla Hirsch, but none has been able to topple Kamille’s reign. On this week’s NWA Powerrr, Hogan steps forward, having won a #1 contender’s match earlier this year to earn the opportunity at hand. “The Girl on Fire” is an accomplished wrestler in her own right, being a former 2x IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Champion. She’s also won gold in organizations such as River City Wrestling in Texas. The question remains: can Hogan add the NWA World Women’s Championship to her resume?

Team War is Waged on NWA Powerrr

As mentioned earlier, this week’s NWA Powerrr is focused on Team War, featuring 2 major multi-team encounters. The prize is simple yet effective: $30,000. It’s tough to overlook the allure of money, and with so many teams set to compete on this week’s show, it’s safe to say that the road to the top won’t be without its bumps in the road. Idolmania Sports Management seems like the favorite team to win it all, especially given the group’s association with NWA World Television Champion Tyrus. However, it’s important to note that the reigning NWA World Tag Team Champions, La Rebelión, will also be in action, so one shouldn’t count them and Homicide out. The field is nothing short of diverse, but only one faction can leave Team War $30,000 richer.
