Stardom is currently full steam ahead for Stardom Dream Queendom on December 29, but before we get there we have Osaka Super Wars in Osaka Edion Arena. This show is mostly based around faction-based warfare with a four-team unit tournament and a massive stipulation match on the card. Captain’s Fall Loser Must Change Faction & Starlight Kid’s Mask: Queen’s Quest (Momo Watanabe, Utami Hayashishita, Saya Kamitani & AZM) vs Oedo Tai (Starlight Kid, Konami, Saki Kashima & Ruaka)
Unit Tournament Final – Ladder Match
There’s a couple of stipulations at play in this match. Most notably, the winners of the ladder match will receive the prize of ten million yen. In addition, eliminations can take place in the final, yes, eliminations in a ladder match.
The last stipulation isn’t a guarantee but if Donna Del Mondo defeats Marvelous in the first round, then they will also defend their titles in the final. If Marvelous wins the first-round match and the titles then the titles will NOT be on the line in the final, however.
There isn’t a real grasp on who will win this tournament and the trios titles as most of the major names are involved in matches at Stardom’s next PPV but DDM losing would make a lot of sense given their recent tension.
Captain’s Fall Loser Must Change Faction & Starlight Kid’s Mask – Queen’s Quest vs Oedo Tai
Once again there’s a lot at play in this match. The main focus is that the captains, Momo Watanabe for QQ and Starlight Kid for Oedo Tai, are at risk of being forced to join the opposing faction. In addition, Kid has put her mask on the line and will be forced to unmask in the event of an Oedo Tai defeat.
It is very likely that this match is Momo Watanabe’s swan with Queen’s Quest as Starlight Kid is unlikely to leave Oedo Tai within a couple of months of joining the faction. Not only that, but Konami’s upcoming hiatus and the long-term injury for Natsuko Tora leaves Oedo Tai in need of a top name like Momo Watanabe to lead the group alongside Kid.
