The triple threat match main evented Warrior Wrestling 17. The event took place at the Tinley Park Convention Center which is outside of the normal venue of Marian Catholic High School. After winning the title, Ospreay promised to carry the title among his other belts into the Tokyo Dome for Wrestle Kingdom 16. The match was fast paced and high flying as expected from the three men in the ring.

This marks the second time that Ospreay has competed for Warrior Wrestling. He also appeared at Warrior Wrestling 7 where he teamed with Rocky Romero and The Amazing Red to defeat The Rascalz. With Ospreay becoming the new champion we can expect to see him in the promotion more often.

This also marked the return of Blake Christian to Warrior Wrestling. Christian’s last match in a Warrior Wrestling ring was during Night 3 of the 2020 Stadium Series. He was defeated by Zachary Wentz (now known as Nash Carter) at that show. Christian also worked against opponents such as  The Rascalz, Ace Austin, and Carlos Romo as part of Warrior Wrestling. With the performance, he turned in tonight it is safe to assume that he will be back in a Warrior Wrestling ring as well.
