Preview: NWA Powerrr Season 7 Premiere (12/7/21)

NWA Powerrr Season 7 Premiere

Following NWA Hard Times 2 this past weekend, the National Wrestling Alliance returns to FITE with the NWA Powerrr Season 7 Premiere. There will be plenty to be seen following the company’s recent pay-per-view event, including the reunion of a former British tag team and the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion taking the platform to speak. It all unfolds tonight at 6:05 PM EST. Without any further delay, let’s take a look at what the first episode of NWA Powerrr Season 7 has in store.

  • British Invasion (Nick Aldis and Doug Williams) vs. Hawx Aerie (Luke and PJ Hawx)
  • Jax Dane vs. Mims
  • Jennacide vs. Paola Blaze

The British Invasion Reunites

The NWA Powerrr Season 7 Premiere promises to be a big one, and for evidence of this, look no further than the reunion of Doug Williams and “The National Treasure,” Nick Aldis. During the late aughts to the early 2010s, they were known as British Invasion. Teaming primarily in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, the two saw success, winning the tag team gold of TNA as well as New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Both men would walk different paths since then. They teamed on occasion, though, even as they found success as singles stars. Tonight, British Invasion reunites to take on the father and son duo of Luke and PJ Hawx. When it comes to the challenges that the latter duo faced since arriving in the NWA, “The Ambassador of British Wrestling” and the longest-reigning NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion of the modern day are perhaps the greatest. See this tag team encounter unfold tonight on FITE.

Trevor Murdoch Addresses the NWA

Also scheduled for the NWA Powerrr Season 7 Premiere is Trevor Murdoch, though the reigning NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion isn’t set for action. At Hard Times 2, he was successful in defending his title against Mike Knox. Post-match, however, Matt Cardona made a surprise appearance, this led to Murdoch being attacked by Knox from behind. What followed afterward was nothing short of a melee that even saw Pope, who officiated the NWA World Television Championship match earlier in the night, become involved. By the end of the show, Cardona was standing over the fallen body of the blue-collar world champion, holding “The Ten Pounds of Gold” over his head. It would be fair to call the “Alwayz Ready” Long Island-born wrestler one of the most prominent names in the independent wrestling scene today. It’s also evident that he has his sights set on gold, Murdoch’s to be more specific. What will Murdoch have to say regarding the Hard Times 2 fallout?
