Expect The Unexpected (ETU) Wrestling Set for Huge Debut Show

Expect The Unexpected Debuting Soon

New Jersey has been a hotbed for indie wrestling during the past few years, as promotions such as Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), Hardcore Hustle Organization (H2O), ICW No Holds Barred, WrestlePro, Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), On Point Wrestling (OPW), and Pro Wrestling Magic, plus newer promotions like Combat Fights Unlimited (CFU), Bloodstorm Pro, Invictus Pro, Global Syndicate Wrestling (GSW), and the rebooted Jersey Championship Wrestling (JCW) all continue to produce top-notch cards, bring in top tier national (and international) talents, and showcase a plethora of local talents. This December, another New Jersey-based promotion is looking to join the party, with the recent announcement of the creation of Expect The Unexpected (ETU) Wrestling. ETU has announced their debut self-titled show will happen on December 3, 2021, at the Knights of Columbus in Ridgefield, New Jersey. The event will stream live on IndependentWrestling.tv at 8 pm EST.

The main event of the evening will feature a title defense from IWTV Independent Wrestling World Champion Alex Shelley against one of the toughest men in the U.S. indies today, John Wayne Murdoch. Murdoch has been the Ace of ICW NHB and is the reigning ICW American Deathmatch Champion. He is also a former 6x IWA Mid-South World Champion and multi-time tag team champion with Reed Bentley in The Rejects.

So far, it’s the only announced match-up for the upcoming debut card, but several top names have already been announced for the event, including:

  • Former ECW World Heavyweight Champion “The Franchise” Shane Douglas
  • Newest IMPACT Knockout and indie sensation Masha Slamovich
  • The Mane Event (Jay Lyon & Midas Black), who have dominated the indies of late and appeared several times for AEW on both AEW Dark and AEW Dark Elevation
  • Former GCW and CZW World Champion Rickey Shane Page
  • Teen prodigy and one of the indies’ fastest rising stars, Billie Starkz
  • Reigning Unsanctioned Pro Champion and former Paradigm Pro Wrestling (PPW) Champion Cole Radrick
  • New York City indie veteran and AEW Dark regular Mike Verna
  • One of the deathmatch scene’s rising young stars in AKIRA
  • Former Ring of Honor star and head of The Embassy, Prince Nana

On Monday night, they announced their next special guest, and it was none other than the recently returned ACH, who returned to pro wrestling last month with Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment (AWE), AAW, and Major League Wrestling (MLW) after a brief retirement.
