#ANDNew: Josh Alexander Wins IMPACT World Title

Josh Alexander Wins IMPACT World Title at Bound for Glory Results

Josh Alexander is the new IMPACT World Champion. He defeated former Champion Christian Cage in the main event of Bound for Glory.

Josh Alexander Becomes IMPACT World Champion

Alexander successfully cashed in Option C to challenge Christian Cage. Both champions retained at Victory Road. Just as Cage was celebrating his victory, Alexander made his way to the ring. He yelled Option C as the show went off the air. Alexander formally vacated the X-Division Title the following week on IMPACT to make his title shot official.

Cage and Alexander’s rivalry started off friendly but became more heated as the match drew closer. They put their differences aside at times to defeat their common enemies in Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. As IMPACT went off the air this past week the two had to be separated by members of the roster as a brawl broke out between the two. The rivaly was no longer friendly as Alexander was laser-focused on the IMPACT World Title.

The match was hard-hitting back and forth between the two. In the end, Alexander defeated the veteran to capture the IMPACT World Title for the first time. Alexander is now a triple crown winner in IMPACT, having won the World Title, X-Division Title, and Tag Team Title.
