Christopher Daniels Returns to IMPACT Wrestling, Aids Josh Alexander and Christian Cage

Christopher Daniels IMPACT Wrestling Return

Christopher Daniels made his return to IMPACT Wrestling tonight. He assisted Josh Alexander from a beatdown courtesy of Ace Austin and Madman Fulton.

Josh Alexander opened up IMPACT Wrestling tonight to officially relinquish the X-Division Championship and invoke Option-C. After Christian Cage tried to talk him out of cashing it in, Alexander handed the X-Division Championship to Scott D’Amore, officially invoking Option C. Ace Austin, who unsuccessfully challenged Christian Cage for the IMPACT World Championship at Victory Road, hit the ring. Austin and Fulton assaulted Alexander and Cage which lead to a match between Alexander and Austin tonight.

After the match, Ace Austin and Madman Fulton beat down Josh Alexander. Christian Cage then made his way to the ring to assist Alexander. Alexander and Christian began to argue, which allowed Austin and Fulton to jump both of them. Christopher Daniels then made his return to IMPACT to help Cage and Alexander clear the ring.

Daniels posted a video with the hashtag #FallenAngel #TheSecondComing on social media yesterday. “The Fallen Angel” was the nickname used by Daniels during his time with IMPACT Wrestling (then known as Total Nonstop Action Wrestling). Daniels was an integral part of the original X-Division and was a focal point of IMPACT from 2002-2010 and from 2011-2014. Daniels held the X-Division title four times and the IMPACT tag team titles twice. He also held the NWA world tag team titles six times as TNA previously had control of the NWA titles.

Daniels and long-time tag partner Frankie Kazarian lost to The Young Bucks on Dynamite back in March. Per the stipulations of the match, they were no longer able to tag together. Daniels had not been seen since that match until his return to IMPACT tonight.
