Preview: AEW Rampage (9/10/21) – PAC vs Andrade El Idolo

PAC vs Andrade El Idolo Graphic

What a week it has been for All Elite Wrestling. It kicked off Sunday night with AEW All Out, wherein we saw probably the biggest and most successful pay-per-view AEW has ever held to date in their short but strong history. The show was jam-packed with surprises and absolutely engaging contests that sent the fans home happy. It was followed up with a smoking-hot AEW Dynamite this past Wednesday night which leaned heavily on the Fallout from All Out. Momentum is definitely on AEW’s side as they have a chance to cap off an almost perfect week with this Friday’s edition of AEW Rampage.

On this week’s show, we will see the AEW Women’s World Champion compete, opposite the number one contender and winner of the Casino Battle Royale, in Trios Women’s action. As well as the reply of an enigma and his legendary mentor to a certain issued challenge, two tag team specialists go at it one on one, and, last but not least. “The Idol” and “The Bastard” will finally have their showdown. If you thought this week of All Elite action was good then you haven’t seen anything yet. The program is stacked from top to bottom and it will definitely be a night to remember. So, sit tight and hold onto your seats. It’s Friday night and we shall let rampage ensue. Let’s run it down.

Full AEW Rampage Card (9/10/21)

  • PAC vs Andrade El Idolo (w/Chavo Guerrero Jr.)
  • Darby Allin & Sting Respond To Tully Blanchard
  • Trios Match: Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., Rebel & Jamie Hayter vs. Ruby Soho, Riho & Kris Statlander
  • Max Caster (w/Anthony Bowens) vs. Brian Pillman Jr.

Dealing With “The Doctor”

Ruby Soho made her momentous Dynamite debut this past Wednesday night. She faced off against “The Assassin” Jamie Hayter wherein these two had a spirited contest that ended with a devastating kick from Soho to pick up the win. After the match, Hayter, Rebel, and the AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. would assault the number one contender to possibly get the upper hand en route to their impending Women’s title bout. To think it was already heated in the backstage area, to begin with, it got even worse between the ropes. Ruby was outnumbered and beaten momentarily until the first-ever former AEW Women’s champion Riho came to make the save.

However, she too would be overwhelmed by Baker’s group before Kris Statlander hit the ring with a steel chair to finally even out the odds. Britt’s crew would high-tail on out of the ring living to fight another day as the three women stood defiant. This scuffle ultimately led us to this Friday night on Rampage, It’s Baker, Hayter, and, Rebel versus the trio of Soho, Riho, and, Statlander. Bad blood runs very deep between these six women and it will ultimately reach its boiling point on Rampage. Will Baker’s team finish what they started or will Soho and her friends ultimately exact revenge?

No More Detours – PAC vs Andrade El Idolo

PAC versus Andrade El Idolo was seemingly written in stone for All Out before disaster struck. Some might say it was a cold and calculated “man-made disaster” depending on who you ask. PAC could not travel to Chicago, Illinois due to apparent “travel issues” which Chavo Guerrero Jr. adamantly stated he has nothing to do with. He also explicitly explained he did not have anything to do with the past travel difficulties of Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix all those weeks ago. Nevertheless, this match is set and not even an actual storm could keep it from happening on Friday.

Andrade has been constantly poking the bear known as PAC for the better part of a month now. He has been trying to pry away Fenix and Penta from Death Triangle and using the angle that he is “The Face of the Latinos” and the duo would have more success siding with him than with “The Bastard”. PAC is having none of it anymore and the time for talk has expired long ago. It will be a showdown between two of the most talented wrestlers the professional wrestling world has today, It’s PAC against Andrade El Idolo on AEW Rampage. Will PAC finally get the chance to silence “The Idol” or will Andrade El Idolo notch a major win under his seemingly limitless belt? It will be fast and it will most certainly be furious. Don’t you dare miss this Friday night on AEW Rampage live on TNT!
