Vincent Defeats Matt Taven at Glory by Honor, Earns Future ROH World Title Shot

Vincent ROH World Title Shot

Ring of Honor presented Night 2 of the Glory by Honor event, live from Philadelphia tonight. In one of the marquee matches of the night, Vincent defeated Matt Taven inside of a steel cage, earning a shot at the ROH World title. He did not do it alone, though, as he had help from both Dutch and Vita Von Starr assist him in the match.

Vincent Earns Shot at ROH World Title

The match was made during the pre-show of Best in the World when Taven hosted a special edition of Trending with Taven. He called out Vincent and the rest of The Righteous with an offer to make. Taven no longer wanted to deal with Vincent, especially after their “Fight Without Honor” where Dutch tossed both men off of a balcony through tables. Taven told Vincent that he would leave Ring of Honor to get away from him as long as they could one more match.

Instead, Vincent challenged Taven to a cage match at Glory by Honor with his rematch for the ROH World title on the line. Taven’s rematch comes from his automatic rematch that he is entitled to after losing the world title to RUSH in October of 2019. If Vincent is able to win the title, it will be his first time holding the ROH World Championship.
