Preview: Ring of Honor – Glory by Honor Night 2 (8/21/21)

ROH Glory by Honor Night 2

Ring of Honor concludes the two-night event from the 2300 Arena with Glory by Honor Night 2. Faction warfare will continue as VLNCE UNLTD takes on The Foundation. Matt Taven will also put his future shot at the ROH World Championship on the line against Vincent in a Steel Cage Match. Let’s see what ROH has in store for Night 2 of Glory by Honor.

Faction Warfare Continues

VLNCE UNLTD will be in eight-man action on both nights of Glory by Honor. They will have their hands full on Night 1 when they take on La Faccion Ingobernable. They will need to refocus quickly as they will take on The Foundation at Night 2 of Glory by Honor. The three factions have been battling it out since VLNCE UNLTD debut at 19th Anniversary. Things have gotten so heated between the three that The Foundation broke the Code of Honor they swore to uphold by participating in an all-out brawl.

The Foundation will look to get the win while holding true to the Code of Honor. VLNCE UNLTD, on the other hand, does not mind things breaking down in order for them to bring home the win. Will The Foundation stay true to its morals to get the victory? Or will they need to take things outside the rules to have a chance at beating VLNCE UNLTD?

Glory by Honor Night 2 Steel Cage Match

Matt Taven and Vincent brawled in a brutal unsanctioned match at the 19th Anniversary pay-per-view that ended with both men crashing through a table courtesy of Dutch. Since then the rest of The Righteous have interfered in Taven’s business, specifically, his tag team matches with fellow OGK member Mike Bennett. At the Best in the World pre-show, Taven hosted an episode of “Trending with Taven” where he called out The Righteous. Taven laid out a challenge to Vincent where Taven would leave ROH regardless of who won the match just to get away from Vincent. Instead, Vincent proposed they settle it in a cage match with Taven’s rematch for the ROH World Championship on the line. Taven agreed and the steel cage match is now set for Glory by Honor Night 2. Cage matches are a rarity in Ring of Honor and are normally reserved for only heated rivalries. These two will leave it all in the cage, and one man will walk out with a chance to challenge for the ROH World Title.
