Fuego Del Sol is All Elite Following AEW Rampage

Fuego Del Sol is All Elite in AEW

In the second match of the premiere episode of AEW Rampage, Fuego Del Sol challenged Miro for the TNT Championship. Just as importantly, it was decided that if Del Sol won the match, he would be given an All Elite Wrestling contract. The match in question started off hot. Del Sol utilized his fast-paced offense to keep “God’s Favorite Champion” on the defensive. Despite momentum at the onset, the challenger was quickly dispatched courtesy of Miro and his Game Over submission maneuver. Post-match, Miro took the aforementioned contract and ripped it in half. As Del Sol rose to his feet, Sammy Guevara and AEW Founder and CEO Tony Khan came through the entrance. On Khan’s behalf, Guevara made the announcement that Fuego Del Sol is All Elite.

Fuego Del Sol is All Elite

Born in 1995, Fuego Del Sol began his professional wrestling career in 2014. Early on, he wrestled primarily in his home state of Oklahoma, specifically for promotions including Mid South Wrestling Alliance and Imperial Wrestling Revolution. In 2017, for the latter promotion, he won the IWR Revolutionary Championship, holding it for 196 days. Del Sol would start working matches for AEW in May of 2020, early in the “Pandemic Era” of professional wrestling. Most of his matches took place on AEW Dark, losing all matches in the promotion throughout the year.

Fuego Del Sol would also appear in multiple backstage segments, including on AEW Dynamite. Recently, he was seen attempting to separate a brawl between Cody Rhodes and Malakai Black, only to receive a knockout kick from the latter. Throughout his various AEW matches, Del Sol earned the adulation of fans and peers alike. Now that he’s a contracted AEW star, expect to see him more on company programming in the future.
