Kylie Rae Signs With National Wrestling Alliance

Kylie Rae

At NWA When Our Shadows Fall, Kylie Rae made her National Wrestling Alliance debut, teaming with Taryn Terrell against the duo of Thunder Rosa and Melina. The match reached its conclusion when, as a brawl between Terrell and Rosa spilled to the outside, Rae rolled up Melina for the surprise pinfall victory. However, it was what was revealed during the match that took the wrestling world by surprise. During said match, play-by-play commentator Joe Galli confirmed that “Smiley Kylie” has signed a deal with the promotion.

In 2020, Kylie Rae has been seen regularly on IMPACT Wrestling, where she signed in March of that year. During her time in IMPACT, she picked up victories over the likes of Tasha Steelz and Kiera Hogan. Rae would also form an alliance with Susie, the alter ego of Su Yung. The following November, Rae announced, via Patreon, that she would be stepping away from professional wrestling. Prior to this, Rae was originally set to face Deonna Purrazzo for the IMPACT Knockouts Championship at Bound for Glory. Kylie Rae’s current IMPACT Wrestling contract status is unknown.

This past March, however, Warrior Wrestling announced that Kylie Rae would be returning to the promotion to defend her Warrior Wrestling Women’s Championship. On Night 1 of Stadium Series, she successfully retained her title in a match with Holidead; this was Kylie Rae’s first match of 2021. Now that “Smiley Kylie” has officially inked a deal with the NWA, expect her to not only continue appearing for the promotion but different independent organizations as well.
