Nick Gage & Jon Moxley Face Off

#AndNEW: Nick Gage Wins GCW World Title, Jon Moxley Arrives

It’s arguably one of the greatest comebacks wins in indie wrestling history. Nick Gage made his in-ring return at Game Changer Wrestling (GCW)‘s Spring Break event – this year run by Rickey Shane Page instead of usual showrunner Joey Janela – and finally beat his nearly two-year nemesis Rickey Shane Page to reclaim the GCW World Championship he lost at the tail end of 2019, after a record-setting 722-day reign. While he lost the title to AJ Gray in December of 2019, it was RSP who emerged as the biggest threat to MDK, when he based 44.OH‘s entire GCW invasion around Gage’s documented history and subsequently defeated Gage in early 2020 when Eric Ryan turned on MDK for 44.OH to deny Gage reclaiming his throne. Gage went on a small skid after, before a terrible injury removed him from the game for the past nine months. Gage made his on-screen return last month and after a highly anticipated rematch at Rickey Shane Page’s Spring Break, Nick Gage has finally reclaimed the World title in GCW.

But the action didn’t just stop with Nick Gage’s finally reclaiming his throne in GCW – it ended with WrestleMania Week having its own paradigm shift, as AEW’s Jon Moxley arrived in the GCW ring moments after. And Moxley made it very clear who his target was, as he went head to head with the MDK gang leader to close out the show.
