Saya Iida Out With Reported Torn ACL & LCL Injuries

Osaka Dream Cinderella News

The Future Of Stardom champion Saya Iida has announced that she is injured and based on translations courtesy of the ever-reliable Shigeo she has torn the ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) & LCL (lateral collateral ligament) in her right knee.  This injury is likely to see her miss a long stretch of time as well as vacate the title.

Saya Iida was scheduled to take part in the 2021 Cinderella Tournament against Himeka but not long after her match was announced Stardom tweet out that Hanan would instead be taking her place.  It wasn’t until translators like Shigeo revealed the details of Iida’s injuries that fans were made aware of the severity of the injury Saya Iida suffered.

This injury comes at a terrible time.  Saya Iida had been having the run of her life in recent months.  Everything was clicking for Stardom’s workhorse and not only was she delivering in the ring but she was gaining confidence in herself and drawing the fans into her matches emotionally.  She was the perfect anchor for the Future Of Stardom division as she can have a good match with basically anyone and this was benefitting those vying for her title.  With this injury, Iida’s hot streak comes to an end and we will likely see her vacate the title that she strived so hard to win.

We at LWOPW wish Saya Iida the very best in her recovery and can’t wait to see her back in a Stardom ring.
