Randy Orton vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, Other WrestleMania 37 Matches Announced

Randy Orton Bray Wyatt WrestleMania 37

Earlier tonight on Monday Night RAW, it was confirmed that Rhea Ripley will face Asuka for the RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 37. However, this wasn’t the only match confirmed to take place on “The Grandest Stage of Them All.” During the course of the show, three men’s bouts were confirmed following their respective segments. Here is what fans should know about the WrestleMania 37 matches in question.

First, it was confirmed that Bad Bunny will face The Miz. Since the Royal Rumble event earlier this year, the popular rapper and songwriter has been a proverbial thorn in the side of the former WWE Champion. Their segments have evolved from annoyance toward one another to absolute hatred. On tonight’s episode of RAW, following a victory over Jeff Hardy, The Miz was attacked from behind by Bad Bunny. Consider that, earlier in the show, The Miz issued a challenge to Bad Bunny at WrestleMania 37. Following the aforementioned attack, Bad Bunny made the proclamation, “I accept, bitch.”

The second of the men’s WrestleMania 37 matches confirmed was Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon. Initially, McMahon was set to face Strowman at the WWE Fastlane event. However, an alleged knee injury kept McMahon out of action, which prompted him to put Elias in his spot. In only a few minutes’ time, Strowman put away “The Drifter.” On tonight’s episode of RAW, despite a heated approach by “The Monster Among Men,” McMahon was able to escape certain destruction by showing his knee injury was more than a little exaggerated. An irate Strowman set the challenge at WrestleMania, to which McMahon accepted, open to any match that “The Strowman Express” would bring them.

The third match confirmed for WrestleMania 37 was set following the conclusion of Monday Night RAW. At WWE Fastlane, Randy Orton faced Alexa Bliss in a unique encounter. This match came to its conclusion when The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, sporting a more grotesque appearance, emerged from under the ring like a zombie rising from the grave. Wyatt planted Orton with Sister Abigail, allowing Bliss to pick up the victory. On RAW, Orton “summoned” Wyatt, which would prove to be his undoing as once again, “The Apex Predator” was brought down by Sister Abigail.

Here is the list of confirmed WrestleMania 37 matches at the time of this writing:

  • RAW Tag Team Championship: The New Day (Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston) (c) vs. AJ Styles and Omos
  • SmackDown Women’s Championship: Sasha Banks (c) vs. Bianca Belair
