Preview: Gatoh Move ChocoPro #81 – Emi Sakura vs. An Chamu (1/16/21)

ChocoPro 81

As the week wraps up, Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling is set to kick off one of two big ChocoPro weekend events. In addition to two returning stars in Ichigaya Chocolate Square, this event will feature competitive singles action and a big tag team main event not to miss. What should viewers expect before the upcoming Pencil Army/Tropical Bros showdown on episode eighty-two? Before this unfolds, take a deep dive into what’s to come on episode eighty-one.

Emi Sakura vs. An Chamu

Before she can join her Pencil Army teammates on episode eighty-two, Emi Sakura finds herself in a big singles match. The founder of Gatoh Move has trained a number of promising women’s stars in the past, each with their own distinct style and presentation. Among these women has been An Chamu, the gravure idol turned professional wrestler. An Chamu made her last ChocoPro appearance on episode sixty-one, back in November, teaming with Mei Suruga in a winning effort against Pencil Army’s own Sakura and Lulu Pencil. Since then, An Chamu has made only one other wrestling appearance, specifically for Dotonbori Pro Wrestling this past December. Now that she is set to return to Ichigaya, can An Chamu make it a win against her former mentor?

Lulu Pencil vs. Yuna Mizumori

To say that Lulu Pencil and Yuna Mizumori are on opposing battle lines would be an understatement. On the previous episode of ChocoPro, Mizumori found herself in the middle of the feud between Pencil Army and Best Bros. Believing herself, as well as Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki, to be the future of ChocoPro, Yunamon made her allegiance clear. Before the big six-person tag team match on episode eighty-two, Gatoh Move’s “Pineapple Girl” must take on the Pencil Army commanding officer herself, Lulu Pencil. Though mighty in spirit, she has yet to come out of a singles encounter successfully. Can this episode of ChocoPro prove different? If so, it would be a landmark achievement for Lulu Pencil. More so, it would serve as a significant boost of morale heading into the aforementioned six-person tag team match.

Best Bros (Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki) vs. Chie Koishikawa and Chon Shiryu (ChocoPro Main Event)

As stated earlier, Best Bros have been at odds with Sakura and, by extension, her Pencil Army cohorts in recent episodes. Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki are the current reigning Asia Dream Tag Team Champions of Gatoh Move. As such, it’s safe to say that they have the attention of everyone in Gatoh Move. However, this feud has gone beyond championship gold. On this upcoming episode of ChocoPro, however, Best Bros will have to shift their focus from Pencil Army to the makeshift team of Chie Koishikawa and Chon Shiryu.

The last time that Chon Shiryu was on ChocoPro was episode seventy-seven earlier this month. On said episode, he took part in a New Year’s five-way match. Though Shiryu fought admirably in this unorthodox counter, it was Gatoh Move’s “MC,” Rin Rin, that claimed the victory. Episode eighty-one of ChocoPro will see Shiryu return to Ichigaya, teaming with “Too Much Energy” herself, Chie Koishikawa. Keep in mind that Shiryu once faced Koishikawa in singles competition, back on episode fifty-four in October. Despite a characteristically spirited encounter, Koishikawa fell to the veteran star. Though Koishikawa and Shiryu possess unique approaches from one another, they are determined to halt Best Bros’ momentum in this main event.
