Preview: Gatoh Move ChocoPro #70 (11/29/20)

ChocoPro 70

The ChocoPro train continues to chug along. One day removed from episode sixty-nine, the Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling crew returns to Ichigaya Chocolate Square to put on another promising show. This card is nothing short of stacked, especially with a main event that draws intrigue based on the participants involved. What can ChocoPro fans expect on this upcoming episode? Here is what you need to know.

Sayuri vs. Mei Suruga

Episode seventy marks Sayuri’s first appearance in ChocoPro since mid-November. She was last seen on episode sixty-six, where she battled her mentor, Emi Sakura, in a losing effort. Since then, Gatoh Move’s “Kunoichi” has been waiting in the wings to return to Ichigaya Chocolate Square. She will do so against a formidable opponent in Mei Suruga. Keep in mind that the last time they faced off, which was back on episode fifty-eight, it was the “Apple Girl” that won. One can only hope that Sayuri has been practicing her martial arts and honing her illusion to prepare.

Chie Koishikawa and Baliyan Akki vs. Sayaka Obihiro and Emi Sakura

On the surface, one would think that the team of Chie Koishikawa and Baliyan Akki would be tough to defeat. Between Koishikawa’s high-energy style and Akki’s kicking and aerial ability, they are nothing short of formidable. With that said, the last time they teamed up, which was back on episode sixty-eight, they fell to the duo of Yuna Mizumori and Emi Sakura. Koishikawa and Akki will reunite on this upcoming episode, where they face two Gatoh Move pillars in Sayaka Obihiro and Emi Sakura. Can Koishikawa and Akki right the previous wrong or will it be Obihiro and Sakura that emerge victorious?

Lulu Pencil vs. Ryo Mizunami (ChocoPro Main Event)

Finally, after what has felt like an eternity, Lulu Pencil will make her return to Ichigaya Chocolate Square. The “Mightiest” freelance writer of Gatoh Move has enjoyed a brief sabbatical from in-ring competition. On episode sixty-five, she teamed with fellow Pencil Army member Emi Sakura in a losing effort against the snack-loving duo of Mei Suruga and Kuishinbo Kamen. One would hope that Lulu Pencil used her time away to train, especially given the opponent she’s set to face in her return.

Ryo Mizunami should not be unfamiliar to long-time ChocoPro and Gatoh Move fans. However, her last match in Ichigaya ended in less than desirable fashion; on episode fifty-four, alongside Sakura, she lost to the tandem of Mei Suruga and Sayaka Obihiro. Since then, Mizunami has been wrestling largely in SEAdLINNNG, fighting alongside her MAX VOLTAGE comrades in battle against the comparatively nefarious Las Fresa de Egoistas. Outside of ChocoPro, the wrestling world has kept “Aniki” busy.

There’s no denying that Lulu Pencil and Ryo Mizunami are intrinsically tied to their teams. However, in this upcoming main event, they will have to fight alone. Lulu Pencil has been building strength, and while she may not be able to match the sheer physical power of Mizunami, the Pencil Army commanding officer’s resourcefulness is boundless. Meanwhile, Mizunami aims to pick up a much needed ChocoPro victory. This will be one main event to keep an eye on.
