However, they are returning with a bang with not one but two major title matches taking place. Expect The Restart to be more than just a name for this special episode.
MLW World Middleweight Championship: Myron Reed (c) vs. Brian Pillman Jr.
“The Young GOAT” Myron Reed looks to defend his title against second-generation star Brian Pillman Jr. Pillman’s profile has seen a rise in recent months due to appearances in AEW, mostly appearing on YouTube for AEW Dark. Reed hasn’t been sitting on the couch, though, as he has competed in many different independent organizations outside of MLW Fusion. Expect Reed to be motivated to take Pillman’s spotlight for himself and raise the prestige of the MLW World Middleweight Championship.
MLW World Heavyweight Championship: Jacob Fatu (c) vs. Davey Boy Smith Jr.
One of the brightest prospects in wrestling, Jacob Fatu looks to continue his reign and further establish the control of the Contra Unit. Davey Boy Smith Jr. is extremely motivated and looking to gain revenge against the Contra Unit for breaking his back during the Super Series‘ closing ceremonies. Will The Contra Unit continue to reign over MLW? Will Davey Boy get his feel-good story by capturing the title by beating one of the men that almost ended his career?
