Preview: WWE — NXT (11/4/20)

Ember Moon vs Dakota Kai NXT

NXT is coming out hot this week with four major matches to help figure out new contenders for NXT gold. Here’s the preview of a wrestling-packed Wednesday night show.

Ember Moon vs. Dakota Kai

Ember Moon vs. Dakota Kai

Ember Moon and Dakota Kai have been at each other’s necks since Moon returned to NXT. On Wednesday night, they will face off in the main event and it should be excellent. Moon continues to try and make the world know that she is back and chasing Io Shirai‘s NXT Women’s Championship gold. For Kai, she has two things to try and contend with — staying in contention and not being replaced by Raquel Gonzalez as the duos championship contender. This is a must-win for both women, making a grand main event.

Shotzi Blackheart vs. Toni Storm

NXT Shotzi vs. Toni Storm

Shotzi Blackheart. Toni Storm. One woman walks out as the winner with a prime spot to climb up the ranks to hopefully get a shot at Io Shirai. This one is a big one, as it’s what Blackheart asked for. And what makes it a special match is that it will be a chance to both prove something. Blackheart has been searching for that signature win for months now and has come so close, while Storm is trying to make it clear that it really is “Toni Time.” All eyes should and will be on this match. And rightfully so, as it will steal the show.

Tommaso Ciampa vs. Velveteen Dream

Tommaso Ciampa vs. Dream NXT

Tommaso Ciampa has taken on a new role in NXT as the man to put out the wrestlers who want things handed to them on the brand. “The Psycho Killer” explained last week that one time, NXT was for the hungriest individuals in professional wrestling but now it’s a place where people simply want things handed to them on a silver platter. No more. Ciampa will be looking to use the Velveteen Dream as an example to make it clear he is the one who knocks on the black and gold brand.

Cameron Grimes vs. KUSHIDA

NXT Cameron Grimes vs. KUSHIDA

Cameron Grimes is fresh off a crazy Haunted House of Terror match that saw Dexter Lumis put him to sleep. KUSHIDA, on the other hand, is on the best streak of his NXT career to this point and could have championship gold in his prospects if he can defeat Grimes on Wednesday night.
