Preview: Gatoh Move ChocoPro #60 (11/1/20)

ChocoPro 60

It’s the Halloween season and while Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling already had their ChocoPro Halloween Special, the fun continues this weekend! On episode sixty, we will see a handful of promising match-ups and the return of one of Emi Sakura‘s early pupils. What does the pupil in question have in store for the woman that taught her everything she knows? Here is what viewers can expect on this upcoming edition of ChocoPro.

Tokiko Kirihara vs. Baliyan Akki

To say that Baliyan Akki had an interesting Halloween would be an understatement. On the previous episode of ChocoPro, he faced an Akki impersonator that bore a striking resemblance to Emi Sakura herself. Despite this, the high-flyer from India was able to overcome this rather unorthodox doppelganger. It’s also important to note that Akki is still fresh from shoulder recovery. Will he be able to keep things together as he enters episode sixty?

On this show, Akki will challenge Tokiko Kirihara, whose last ChocoPro appearance took place on episode fifty-six. Furthermore, the last time Akki and Kirihara faced off in singles competition was back on episode thirty-two in July. Despite a spirited effort from the former kickboxer, she was unable to defeat Akki. “Otoki-san” has become a more confident fighter since then and her temper has grown considerably short as well. Will she be able to avenge the aforementioned loss? Tune into this episode of ChocoPro to find out.

Emi Sakura vs. An Chamu (ChocoPro Return)

To provide a brief history lesson, An Chamu started wrestling back in the summer of 2018. The young gravure model learned under Emi Sakura in Gatoh Move and wrestled consistently until the end of 2019. Though she made a few appearances in 2020, they were few and far between. In fact, she hasn’t been seen on ChocoPro since episode two, when she battled Sakura in a losing effort. Keep in mind that this took place all the way back in April. An Chamu made one last appearance after, this time for Dramatic Dream Team, where she teamed with Mizuki Watase and Akito in a winning effort.

One shouldn’t discount the skill and ability of An Chamu, however. She is known for having an effective cross armbreaker, able to make her opponents writhe in agony. If this isn’t enough, her crab hold will do the trick. It has been several months since her last ChocoPro appearance and it’s poetic that she makes her return against the same woman she lost against. Sakura may have had fun on the Halloween Special episode of ChocoPro, but against a determined An Chamu, she will have to be at the top of her game.

Chie Koishikawa and Yuna Mizumori vs. Mei Suruga and Antonio Honda

The ChocoPro Halloween Special was big for Mei Suruga and Antonio Honda as well. Honda was announced as one of the competitors in the Monoboke Death Match main event, which was won by Jaki Numazawa. Despite this, Hondo put forth an earnest, not to mention comedic, effort. Meanwhile, dressed as Snow White, Suruga won the Halloween Battle Royal, even utilizing a “poison” apple to her advantage. One should expect nothing less from the mischievous “Mei-chan,” but much like Sakura, the “Apple Girl” and Honda will have to enter this match more focused than ever.

Between the boundless energy of Chie Koishikawa and colorful spirit of Yuna Mizumori, the exuberance of this team is off the charts. Like Suruga, they competed in the ChocoPro Halloween Battle Royal, with Koishikawa dressed as sushi and Yunamon as the DC Comics character, Harley Quinn. It’s worth noting that these two faced each other back on episode fifty-fix, where Mizumori bested Koishikawa in an appropriately ebullient main event. Now that they stand on the same side of Ichigaya Chocolate Square, it’s safe to say they make a formidable pair.
