Rina Joins Oedo Tai & Other Notes From Korakuen Hall

Rina

In a shocking move, Rina has joined Oedo Tai during today’s Goddess Of Stardom event at Korakuen Hall.  Following the disbanding of Tokyo Cyber Squad, Rina had moved to STARS along with the other remaining TCS members but during the Korakuen Hall event, Saki Kashima helped Rina beat her sister Hina in the opening match.  Rina then joined Saki Kashima as she seconded Oedo Tai for their match with Momo Watanabe, Utami Hayashishita, and Riho before being officially announced as a member by leader Natsuko Tora after the match.

Rina joining Oedo Tai will allow her to further establish her own identity away from her sisters Hina and Hanan while also giving the faction a younger roster member who can take pinfalls for the group.

During today’s event Tam Nakano announced that ZZ will be making their debut at the next Korakuen Hall event.  Speculation is this will be another former Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling star like Himawari Unagi as the previous Z debutant was TJPW alumni Mina Shirakawa.  Nakano, who has an idol background, seems to be putting together a STARS sub-group of idol wrestlers.

Before the event it was officially announced that Syuri has signed with Stardom.  The former MAKAI performer will finish up her commitments to other promotions before joining Stardom full-time from November.

Following the main event, Giulia nominated Konami as the next challenger for her Wonder Of Stardom Championship.

It was a newsworthy trip to Korakuen Hall with Rina joining Oedo Tai as well as a number of other newsworthy moments taking place.
