Preview: WWE — Friday Night SmackDown (8/21/20)

Jeff Hardy vs. AJ Styles

The WWE ThunderDome is here! Well, not really, but it will debut tonight on FOX as a part of Friday Night SmackDown and from the images shown online, it’s going to be a whole new experience for the wrestlers and fans watching at home. Of course, WWE wanted to make sure to put on a worthy show for the first-ever ThunderDome show and they did with two championship matches and a slobber knocker of a singles match to boot. Here’s the preview.

A must-see match is expected to main event Friday Night SmackDown as Jeff Hardy challenges AJ Styles for the Intercontinental Championship. Rather than competing for the title at SummerSlam, the match will happen two nights earlier and the viewers are in for a treat. Hardy is on a bit of a hot streak after finally ridding himself of Sheamus a few weeks ago. Styles, on the other hand, has defeated challenger after challenger but now faces his toughest test in Hardy.

SmackDown Tag Team Championships: Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Lucha House Party

The Lucha House Party earned a shot at the titles when they pinned the champions last week thanks to the return of Kalisto. This week they cash-in that shot as Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura defend for the first time since winning the titles. Keep an eye on this one.

Big E vs. Sheamus

Big E vs. Sheamus Friday Night SmackDown

Now, this is a match that should excite folks. Two of WWE’s best brawlers will go head-to-head after Sheamus went out of his way to get the attention of Big E last week. Big E will look for redemption after the attack that left him laying. For the fans watching, these two could steal the show and prove SmackDown is in great hands if they keep riding the wave and let both men perform. Especially Big E in his singles run.

Braun Strowman Delivers Final Message To “The Fiend” Before SummerSlam

Some say bald is beautiful. Others will get slapped eight times and react by throwing their one time friend through the air and crashing down. Of course, I am talking about Braun Strowman who seems possessed since returning last week. Alexa Bliss‘ factor in all of this is still unanswered but should be highly anticipated this weekend. Braun will give one last message to “The Fiend” on Friday.
