Wilde On: Taylor Wilde Confirms Return to Wrestling

Taylor Wilde

On Sunday, June 21st, Taylor Wilde took to her Twitter to confirm the rumors that had been swirling for about ten days. She confirmed that she would be returning to professional wrestling after nine years in retirement.

Her in-ring return is currently delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, but we can remain hopeful to see this veteran back inside the ring as soon as safely possible. In addition, she will be launching a podcast entitled “Wilde On”. The first episode will concentrate on Taylor Wilde herself, for fans to get reacquainted with her. Taylor’s podcast will be available across all major podcast platforms.

Taylor Wilde is a Canadian native that was part of the early era of revolutionizing women’s wrestling from her debut in 2003 to her early retirement in 2011. Perhaps her most notable or well-known work would be with SHIMMER Women Athletes and IMPACT Wrestling. While part of IMPACT, Taylor collected several accolades. She had a reign as Knockouts Champion, was part of the first-ever tag team Monster’s Ball match, and was half of the inaugural Knockouts Tag Team Champions.

Taylor Wilde would be crowned the first-ever Knockouts tag champions with Sarita (aka Dark Angel, Sarah Stock) at No Surrender 2009. She would also have a second reign with her partner being Ayako Hamada this time. Outside of wrestling, Wilde would pursue higher education, start a family, and embark on a second career as a firefighter. Wherever this next chapter in her wrestling career takes her, she will be a positive addition wherever she goes.
