Preview: DDT TV Show Episode #5 (5/30/20)

DDT TV Show Episode #5

It snuck up on everyone, but DDT TV Show #5 is the go-home show to the two-night event of Peter Pan 2020. With matches already being announced left and right for the big event, this is the last chance to make a statement or get the final word in for the stars of Dramatic Dream Team. And it intends to be a very high note with some strong names and the usual title match.

DAMNATION (Daisuke Sasaki/Soma Takao) vs ALL OUT (Shunma Katsumata/Yuki Iino)

At the end of the Universal Title match, Daisuke Sasaki retained. He then offered Shunma Katsumata a title opportunity because the leader of DAMNATION wanted to fight in a hardcore match. This was interrupted by the return of Isami Kodaka from BASARA and it became a Three-Way set for Peter Pan. On DDT TV Show #5 two-thirds of that match will face off with DAMNATION facing ALL OUT. The two stables have had a fierce rivalry and with the title match being so close there’s a chance for it to be even more heated than usual.

Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship: Danshoku Dieno (c) vs Antonio Honda

Everyone got possessed the last match by the spirit of Gongisuke, so the match was thrown out. It wasn’t a successful defense for Danshoku Dieno so Antonio Honda is getting another shot hopefully this one won’t get thrown out, but you never know with two of the most chaotic members of the DDT roster.

Chris Brookes/Mizuki Watase/Yukio Naya vs Eruption (Kazusada Higuchi/Yukio Sakaguchi/Saki Akai)

DDT TV Show Episode #5

The only member of this match coming off a victory would be Saki Akai as she won match 6 of her seven-match series. This does lead to an interesting match to watch as this is Yukio Sakaguchi‘s first match back since losing the KO-D title match to Masato Tanaka. And both Sakaguchi and Akai are scheduled to face the Neo Itoh Respect Army at Peter Pan. And Yukio Naya has an Extreme title match on Night two. This leaves Mizuki Watase and Kazusada Higuchi left to make an impression. Given their recent opponents, this shouldn’t be too tall of a task.

Jun Akiyama vs Hideki Okatani

Last week Hideki Okatani faced off with the invading Seigo Tachibana in a post-show exhibition match for it to end in a time limit draw. The performance by the young boy must’ve left an impression on Jun Akiyama because he placed forth the challenge with the intent to teach Okatani how King’s Road style works in the middle of the ring. This will be their second face-off with their first being a tag match on DDT TV Show #3 but this is their first one on one encounter.

ALL OUT (Akito/Konosuke Takeshita) vs Yoshihiko/Akihiro

DDT TV Show Episode #5

Konosuke Takeshita failed in his quest to end the ALL OUT is ALL DEAD saga. It has taken a strange new turn as, during their match, Akihiro returned to clear the ring of ALL OUT. This lead to Takeshita losing the match. Now that Yoshihiko has back up Takeshita teams up with the one person who has a pinfall victory over Yoshihiko during this saga in Akito. ALL OUT is gonna have to fight to survive in this match.

#DAMNHEARTS (Tetsuya Endo/T-Hawk/El Lindaman) vs DISASTER BOX! (HARASHIMA/Naomi Yoshimura/Yuki Ueno)

#DAMNHEARTS return and the KO-D six-man tag champions are looking to resume being as dominant as when they last appeared. And honestly, things are looking pretty good for them, barring a cash in by MAO who is the final Right to Challenge Gauntlet Holder or being pinned in this match Tetsuya Endo has a Main Event KO-D Openweight title shot against Masato Tanaka at Peter Pan. At the same time DISASTER BOX is bringing out their heavy hitters on top of HARASHIMA who is one of the biggest names in the company he is teaming with the current KO-D Tag Team Champions in Nautilus. An interesting statistic three of four shows have either ended in a cash-in or the sword changing hands will the odds be in Endo’s Favor or will the main event switch last second? Beyond that what would it mean for the six-man or tag champions to lose? Heavy implications riding in this match.
