UK Indie Wrestler Sierra Loxton Retires Due To Back Injury

Sierra Loxton

Up and coming Welsh performer Sierra Loxton has been forced to retire due to a fracture in her lower back sustained during her recovery from a back injury suffered in June 2019 at Pro Wrestling: EVE.

Loxton had been quietly making a name for herself on the UK indie scene prior to her injury as she was the Celtic Crown Women’s Champion in her home promotion of Dragon Pro Wrestling as well as IPW:UK Women’s Champion and had appeared multiple times in PROGRESS Wrestling, RevPro, and ATTACK! Pro Wrestling among many other top companies in the scene.

The injury she suffered in her final match proved to be a controversial one for EVE as it was alleged that EVE did not have a medic on site during the show where Loxton suffered her injury.  EVE did provide Sierra Loxton with work while she was injured as they used her on commentary for some of their shows, often alongside fellow injured performer Leah Owens.

Loxton’s retirement is a blow for independent women’s wrestling in the UK as Loxton was one of the women that would have carried the scene forward as she was a very talented performer given her relative inexperience.  We wish Sierra Loxton all the best for her life post-wrestling, judging by her twitter statement it seems she will still be involved in the business in some way just not as a performer.
