DDT To Resume Shows

DDT

Dramatic Dream Team (DDT) has handled the COVID-19 Pandemic in some unique ways. At the beginning of the month, they held a group of Dojo shows for their rosters. Later on they began putting up free shows on their streaming service DDT Universe. Now they take a braver step in resuming shows. Starting with their 23rd-anniversary show, JUDGEMENT 2020 on March 20th headlined by Konosuke Takeshita vs Masato Tanaka for the KO-D Openweight title.

Of course, this could end up being cancelled due to the aforementioned virus, but at the moment that and some shows following it are scheduled to go ahead. This is something that morally DDT needed after one of their larger showings in the United States the Tokyo Joshi Pro show was cancelled due to the very same reason. That alongside a couple of notable shows such as the Hirata 10th Anniversary show being cancelled would’ve lead to this being a much-needed morale boost.

The shows that are also on the schedule are DDT “DRAMATIC HYAKUMANGOKU!” 2020 on the 22nd headlined by the KO-D Six-Man Titles on the line between the team of ALL OUT and the challengers of Endo, T-Hawk, and El Lindaman known as Business Alliance. The show after that will be a DAMNATION special on the seventh of April. Capped off with MAX BUMP 2020 on the 12th which at the moment has one match scheduled for it.

DDT making the choice to step out into the wild isn’t an unfamiliar one as they’ve done shows not long after natural disasters. Though with a situation as touch and go as an ongoing pandemic this is one that could be considered a risky move for the company. Though could work out for the best if all goes well, keep an eye on if their anniversary show goes forward.
