Beyond Wrestling Crowns First Champion, Makes Announcements

Beyond Wrestling

Beyond Wrestling announced some big changes to the brand as they tried to film a pilot. The taping took place on March 1st and was an interesting show that laid out their plans for things to come. BCW also made two big announcements about their upcoming shows; including running against WrestleMania and season three of Uncharted Territory.

First came crowning the first-ever BCW Champion. A four-person tournament was held between some of the best upcoming wrestlers Beyond had to offer. The first round saw Robo, The Punjabi Lion defeat Mike Verna and Richard Holliday beat Anthony Bowens. Holliday would then beat Robo in the finals to be declared the first-ever champion of Beyond Championship Wrestling.

Next came the stakes of the entire company. Denver Colorado, by proxy of Jay Freddie, faced off against Brandon Thurston representing Vin Gerard. Both DC and Gerard ended up interfering in the match, and in the end, Freddie and DC came out on top. Denver Colorado now has complete control of the company he founded. After, Colorado announced the worst kept secret in all of wrestling: that Beyond Wrestling would be running a show on April 5th against WrestleMania. The first match has already been announced as Daniel Makabe taking on Jonathan Gresham. Other talents announced to appear are Bear Country, Kylie Rae, David Starr, and Jordynne Grace.

Finally, it announced that the start date of season three of Uncharted Territory would be April 30th. The season will again run weekly, leading up to one of their biggest shows of the year Americanrana ’20. The first two seasons of Uncharted Territory were some of the best weekly wrestling on television in 2019. It will be interesting to see how Beyond moves forward with its third season. Uncharted Territory can be watched live and on-demand on IndependentWrestling.TV.
