On Saturday, November 30th, DEFY Wrestling presents Wrestle Summit II from Washington Hall in Seattle, Washington. This is the first of a two-night event that will see DEFY Wrestling, PCW ULTRA and PROGRESS Wrestling have come together to present a special event that combines excellence, skill and most of all passion. On this first evening, we will see a singles and tag team championship take place along with a grudge match that has enlisted a number of notable talent that have called DEFY Wrestling their home. Fans can anticipate that a ‘weirdo’ will be amongst those bringing the fight to their competitors on this evening. Here is night one of Wrestle Summit II.

A fun match between El Phantasmo and the former DEFY Wrestling champion, Artemis Spencer. On this first night of Wrestle Summit II fans can anticipate a match-up that is likely those in attendance won’t forget. This clash of two Canadians battling one another will do so as part of the second Wrestle Summit. For those unaware, ELP earned a name for himself this past summer competing for New Japan Pro Wrestling. He won the Super J Cup 2019 Final over Dragon Lee. The event also saw El Phantasmo defeat Will Ospreay in the semi-final. For Spenser, the DEFYyance faithful would be hard-pressed not to back their former champion.

Sonico vs Jimmy Havoc

Havoc returns to DEFY Wrestling and in doing so brings his notable brand of violence with him. Jimmy Havoc has gained notoriety recently with his time as part of All Elite Wrestling. His recent matches against the likes of Darby Allin and Joey Janela has shown that he brings the violence but showcase just as much to the ring as anyone. For Sonico, the Seattle native and former trainee of Jose Luis Gomez and regular of local promotion Without A Cause brings a new wave luchador style that fans are beginning to gravitate too. The ‘Lucha Ghoul’ looks to make a name for himself and show Jimmy Havoc just what he can do at Wrestle Summit II.

When one championship is on the line, fans sit up and take notice when TWO sets of titles are on the line the pressure is all on the champions.  Jacob Fatu and Josef Samuel hold not only the DEFY Wrestling tag team championships but the PCW ULTRA ones as well. Ethan HD and Mike Santiago and Warbeast are no strangers to one another. The somewhat unknown here is The Cunninghams. They look to be the duo that upsets the champions. Both are earning a name in singles and tag action in the Pacific Northwest. At Wrestle Summit II, which team will reign supreme?

PCW ULTRALIGHT Championship
Jake Atlas (c) vs Douglas James

If any match on this night screams blink or you will miss a move it is this one. Current PCW ULTRALIGHT Champion, Jake Atlas, and rising sensation Douglas James appear poised to raise the bar in this match up. James has developed a name for himself competing in promotions such as FSW and can be now seen on MLW. His passionate and athletic style appears poised to be what will lead him in his fight for the championship. For Jake Atlas, the former Santino Bros Academy trainee the future is bright. As the current ULTRALIGHT champion, he continues to use a rather unique offense to get the better of his opposition. Will this be the night Atlas has met his match? James’ intentions aren’t likely to leave Wrestle Summit without the ULTRALIGHT Championship.

PROGRESS  Women’s Championship
Meiko Satomura (c) vs Nicole Savoy

The second PROGRESS Wrestling slated match on this night involves its current women’s champion. A former competitor in the Mae Young Classic tournament, Meiko Satomura will bring all her years of experience and the pride of PROGRESS on her back. In this championship match Satomura faces a former champion in her own right, Nicole Savoy. Savoy is the current Pro Wrestling Revolution Women’s champion and a former SHIMMER Champion. While she isn’t the belt collector, Satomura best be aware that Savoy is a current champion and looks to add to her current championships. Satomura won’t sit idle and allow Savoy to simply come in and walk out with the PROGRESS Women’s championship. This is a match that is as much about respect as it is becoming the champion.

Team Schaff (Schaff, Randy Myers, Cody Chhun, Guillermo Rosas, Judas Icarus) vs Team Hammerstone (Alexander Hammerstone, Jorel Nelson, Travis Williams, Brian and Kevin Cooks)

The longtime rivalry between these two has taken a new twist. What is the only logical way to add to an ongoing feud that can’t seem to be settled one-on-one? The answer is to recruit an army. Current DEFY Champion, Schaff, and rival Hammerstone have ushered in the likes of Randy Myers, Cody Chhun, Guillermo Rosas, Judas Icarus, Jorel Williams and the brothers, Brian and Kevin Cooks to be a part of this match-up. This five-on-five match is sure to test friendships and teammates as it is anything else. Will Hammerstone’s team be able to trust the MLW National Openweight Champion? Will emotions get the better of both captains leading to frustrations by their teammates at Wrestle Summit II?
