Indie Veteran Dan Maff Signs With Ring of Honor (VIDEOS)

Ring of Honor added another veteran presence to its locker room on Monday, when 20-year veteran Dan Maff revealed on his Twitter that he had signed a contract with ROH. Maff returned to ROH for the first time since 2005 at recent ROH events ROH The Experience (November 2) and ROH Unauthorized (November 3), where the former 2x ROH World Tag Team Champion offered his services to Villain Enterprises, filling in for an injured Brody King in a 6-Man Tag Team title defense, and then facing PCO the next night in a hard-hitting affair.

Dan Maff started off in 1999, a product of the burgeoning New York/New Jersey indie scene that was about to explode. He was a mainstay with Jersey All Pro Wrestling (JAPW) for years until joining ROH in 2002. By the time he joined ROH, he was a former JAPW Heavyweight Champion and 5x JAPW Tag Team Champion as Mafia alongside Monsta Mack in Da Hit Squad.

In ROH, he joined BJ Whitmer in The Prophecy, and together they won the ROH World Tag Team titles on two occasions. He left ROH in 2005, returning to the indies, where he continued to work both singles and in reunions with Mack in Da Hit Squad. He worked for the likes of Beyond Wrestling, Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), Wrestle Pro, ICW New York, and many more.

Dan Maff continues some recent signings from Ring of Honor, which have included re-signing Maria Manic, signing West Coast indie star Tyler Bateman, and signing Irish indie star “Session Moth” Martina.
