#AndNEW: Maki Itoh Wins International Princess Championship

Maki Itoh AEW Revolution

Maki Itoh became the third International Princess champion in the title’s short lifespan at TJP My Life: Let’s Enjoy!! when she defeated Yuna Manase to win the championship.  Manase won the championship under rather unfortunate circumstances so it’s likely the move was made to get the title back onto someone TJPW wanted to push.

Maki Itoh is one of the most popular members of the TJPW roster with her gimmick and twitter gaining attention from people who have never even heard of Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling.  Putting the international title on such a well known member of the roster is a good choice by TJPW.

Elsewhere on this show NEO Biishiki-Gun (Masao & Sakisama) defended the Princess Tag Team Titles against Mina Shirakawa and Yuki Kamifuku.  Magical Sugar Rabbits (Mizuki & Yuka Sakazaki) wrestled to a time limit draw with Shoko Nakajima and Miyu Yamashita as TJPW continue the build to Sakazaki vs Nakajima for the Tokyo Princess Of Princesses Championship at DDT’s upcoming Sumo Hall show.
