Former Ice Ribbon Champion Giulia Joins Stardom

Giulia

Stardom World Champions Wars was a loaded show that featured the top two championships in the company being defended.  If that wasn’t exciting enough the end of the show saw another wrestler jumping from a Joshi promotion to Stardom, the third this year, as Giulia debuted just a day after requesting her release from Ice Ribbon.

The former International Ribbon Tag Team Champion debuted in 2017 but has improved greatly since then to become a potential star with her mix of hard strikes and a cool look that should appeal to Stardom’s international fan base.

This is the third Joshi performer to join stardom from another promotion this year following Andras Miyagi and Riho in making the jump to the promotion that has the most international exposure and provides the opportunity for international stardom (no pun intended).

Much like the Riho jump this has left a sour taste in the mouth of some fans as Giulia leaves Ice Ribbon just before the retirement of her tag team partner Tequila Saya and comes just a day after she requested her release.

Stardom increasingly becomes unfriendly towards other Joshi promotions and has seemingly made an enemy of Ice Ribbon here, not that they were on good terms before.  But as long as they offer big money and the opportunity of becoming an international star they will continue to attract the top talent in the Joshi scene.
