In a shocking announcement made on Monday evening, Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) announced the termination of their relationship with Joe Coffey.

The official statement released across their social media pages reads the following;

“Statement: Due to management decision as of the week commencing 14th October 2019, Joe Coffey has been removed from all upcoming Insane Championship Wrestling Ltd. events. New participants for advertised matches featuring Coffey will be announced in due course. Under the circumstances, Stevie Boy vs. Ravie Davie at Gonzo Wrestling will not air.”

Coffey made his ICW debut back in 2010, going on to win the 2017 Square Go! Match, the World Heavyweight Championship twice, and the Zero-G Championship, while also main eventing the first two Fear & Loathing shows at the SSE Hydro against Kurt Angle and BT Gunn in 2016 and 2017 respectively. He was scheduled to take on former Discovery Wrestling (DW) rival Andy Wild at their France 2000 show on Sunday, October 27th, before then going on to challenge Stevie Boy for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of the second night of Fear & Loathing XII on Sunday, November 3rd. Obviously, new opponents will be selected for those matches, as per ICW’s official statement.

The last we saw of Coffey in an ICW ring was at their first GONZO event on Saturday, October 12th. While he wasn’t in action on the show, he did interfere in the non-title bout between Stevie Boy and Ravie Davie to cause a no contest. Thanks to Twitter user Gary Cassidy for the below footage.
