NXT “Invasion” of EVOLVE Continues

Evolve

As previously reported, NXT star Kassius Ohno will be making his return to EVOLVE, but now the date has changed. Now the man formally known as Chris Hero will be returning at volumes 115 and 116, instead of waiting until December’s 117 and 118. According to the latest WWN Live Alerts released on November 2nd, Ohno’s return was accelerated due to a couple of reasons. One, the feedback he saw regarding Fabian Aichner winning the Championship on his first match for the promotion. And two, the way Shane Strickland treated the locker room in a disrespectful manner, in Ohno’s eyes.

On November 9th, at EVOLVE 115 Kassius Ohno will be challenging Fabian Aichner for the EVOLVE Championship. Ohno is a former champion himself and looks to test the new champion, to see if he has what it takes. Also at EVOLVE 115, the new Tag Team Champions, The Street Profits, will defend their titles against new WWN Live Champion JD Drake and Anthony Henry (whom together as The Workhorsemen, are also previous Tag Team Champions).

At EVOLVE 116 on November 10th, Kassius Ohno will take on “Swerve” Shane Strickland. The Street Profits, if still tag team champions, will defend against AR Fox & Leon Ruff. As always, Fox and Ruff will be accompanied by Ayla and the rest of The Skulk. Fabian Aichner will also be in action, taking on Anthony Henry. It has not yet been determined if this match will be for the EVOLVE Championship. Both previously announced matches for Mustafa Ali will also be taking place over this weekend.

It will be interesting to see how the “NXT Invasion” of EVOLVE continues. Fabian Aichner, Kassius Ohno and the Street Profits are all currently still advertised for volumes 117 and 118 in December.
