Los Ingobernables de Japon to Wrestle in CMLL Next Week

Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) announced today that Los Ingobernables de Japon are heading Mexico to go up against Diamante Azul, Volador Jr. & LA ParkTetsuya Naito & BUSHI are both returning to the historic arena on August 31. For his part, EVIL is debuting in CMLL.

Tetsuya Naito and Mexico have a rich history together. It was in CMLL where the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion reinvented himself to become the unruly wrestlers that he is today for New Japan Pro Wrestling. When the Stardust experiment failed, CMLL became home for Naito. He started to tag regularly with Ingobernables member La Mascara, La Sombra – now Andrade “Cien” Almas – and Toro Blanco Rush. The no-f*%^s given by the faction in Mexico was key for the development of Naito’s persona. At one point, Naito and Yujiro Takahashi lost their hair against Texano Jr. & El Terrible in the CMLL show Sin Salida – the Japanese tag team was known as No Limit.

BUSHI is no stranger to CMLL either. He first went to Mexico as part of an excursion for All Japan Pro Wrestling, where he wrestled regularly for IWRG. His initial names were Tetsuya Bushi and T28. When he returned to Mexico, at one point, he lost his mask to Oficial 911. In CMLL, he tagged regularly in the preliminaries and wrestled in lightning matches. BUSHI is a former CMLL World Welterweight Champion, which he won when he defeated Mascara DoradaGran Metallik in WWE.

The former NEVER Openweight Champion and IWGP Tag Team Champion EVIL is the only member of Los Ingobernables de Japon that will debut in CMLL. EVIL strange aura and dark presence will surely draw ayes in the historic Arena Mexico on Friday.

In today’s CMLL press conference, Volador Jr. told the fans that LIJ in Mexico meant that Rush was scared of him and that they were coming to intimidate them.
