Then-defensive coordinator Bill Belichick held Jim Kelly and the Buffalo Bills offense to just 19 points through the first 59 minutes of Super Bowl XXV, but Norwood had the chance to win the game with a 47-yard field goal.
Instead, he missed it, wide right. The New York Giants live on in history, while Norwood is best known for the most impactful miss in NFL history. It’s essentially the Malcolm Butler interception of kicks.
