It might be time to add another name to that infamous jersey. The Cleveland Browns entered the year with four notable quarterbacks on the roster, but they’re down to two after trading Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco. Unfortunately, the two quarterbacks remaining haven’t shown much.
Perhaps fifth-round pick Shedeur Sanders can do something if and when he earns a chance to start, but rookie Dillon Gabriel has been a disaster while under center. Put simply, he lacks the arm strength and athleticism to start in the NFL, and he won’t gain those skills any time soon. The Browns will probably draft a quarterback next year, but Kyler Murray would be the best quarterback on the roster since a healthy Baker Mayfield guided this team to the its first playoff win in an eternity.
