4. Baltimore Ravens
Kyler Murray is not stealing Lamar Jackson’s starting job, but this could be a perfect pairing if the former first-overall pick has to settle for life as a backup quarterback. Jackson missed a decent chunk of the season with a hamstring injury, and former second-string quarterback Cooper Rush couldn’t do anything with the offense. While Tyler Huntley kept the team competitive when he became the backup, Baltimore could use an upgrade at the position.
Kyler Murray would easily be the best backup in football, and his style of play is a perfect fit for this offense. We’ve seen highly-drafted quarterbacks like Mitchell Trubisky spend a year or two as a backup before earning another starting opportunity, and Murray’s career could take a similar trajectory.
