According to Mike Roberts

“There are a bunch of talented players in the AFC South, such as Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor and Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons. But what about the AFC South wide receivers?

AFC East

According to James Gruter

“The AFC East has never been a true powerhouse when it comes to wide receivers. The four teams within this division have never really been known for the position. However, that doesn’t mean great players haven’t played for these teams recently. The Dolphins rostered both Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle for multiple seasons. The Bills had Stefon Diggs in his prime during Josh Allen’s rise to fame. He returned to the division in 2025, but with the Patriots, and helped lead them to a Super Bowl appearance. Finally, the Jets drafted Garrett Wilson back in 2022, and he’s been good and underrated due to the lack of team success for a few years now.

Fast-forward to 2026, and most of the aforementioned players are not there anymore, but there are a few good, even great players who now grace these teams. Let’s check out the rankings for AFC East wide receivers for 2026…” READ MORE

Even then, the division only used three draft picks on the position, with the Broncos opting to abstain. In this division, there are a few franchise quarterbacks who make their wide receivers look good.

Continuing our series here at Last Word, we hone in on the AFC West receivers leading the way heading into 2026…” READ MORE

NFC South

According to Alain Pierre

“The NFC South wide receivers entering the 2026 season represent one of the most intriguing groups of pass catchers in football.

For years, the division was defined by big veterans like Mike Evans and Julio Jones, players who dominated defenses and were able to put up Pro Bowl numbers. While there are still some proven veterans left in the division, the next generation has officially arrived. Everywhere you look in the division, the young guys are clearly the leaders of their team and are putting a mark on the league as a whole. The NFC South is loaded with young talent who are becoming household names.

Some of these receivers have already established themselves among the NFL’s best. Others are still building their resumes. Regardless, the division has no shortage of playmakers entering the 2026 season.

Before diving into the top five, let’s look at a few players who just missed the cut…” READ MORE
