Kyler Murray

5 Teams That Could Land First-Overall Pick

3. New Orleans Saints

If the season ended today, the New Orleans Saints would have the first-overall pick in the NFL Draft and would almost certainly use the selection on a quarterback. However, the Tennessee Titans have an identical 1-8 record, and six other teams only have two wins, so New Orleans might not be in a position to draft a quarterback when the season ends. If that happens, they should target a veteran like Kyler Murray.

Spencer Rattler didn’t look like a superstar this year, but he was an adequate starter when on the field. Rookie Tyler Shough, meanwhile, has only made one start this season, so it’s too early to say anything about his career. However, both players are incredibly inexperienced and could benefit from having a veteran like Murray on the roster. Signing Murray would increase the floor of the Saints quarterback room while also inviting a competitive three-way quarterback battle.
